Archival Techniques in Paper and Digital Preservation
This class will discuss archival standards and preservation practices from two perspectives, physical preservation and digital preservation. Physical preservation techniques addressed will include care and handling, protective treatment, rehousing, and emergency preparedness. Digital preservation techniques discussed will include processing, scanning, description, metadata, and emergency preparedness. Both perspectives work together as a complete approach for successful preservation.
