Roy and Cheryl Copeland began collecting African American memorabilia in 1989, starting with an autographed pair of Muhammad Ali boxing gloves. In 2016, they donated their 125+ piece collection-spanning 150 years-to Valdosta State University's Harley Langdale Jr. College of Business.
