Amid the bleakness and shortages of London in 1947, two embroiderers are chosen for the honor of helping to create Princess Elizabeth’s wedding gown. More than 60 years later in Canada, a woman receives a set of embroidered flowers from her late English grandmother, and delves in the mystery of how she came to possess the exquisite piece of embroidery resembling the motifs on the Queen’s famous wedding gown. Moving between eras, this historical novel explores the three women and how their lives intersect.
