Explore acrylic realism by painting a still life to help you learn concepts such as highlights, shadows, value, tone, local color, and more. You will create a realistic painting from a photograph of a landscape, an animal, a plant, or whatever you choose. Learn the basics of acrylics and leave the course with at least two realistic paintings. (List of supplies will be provided with your registration receipt.)
Instructor Hunter Pope is a graduate of VSU's Fine Arts program and is currently pursuing her master's degree. Hunter teachers art for several of Continuing Education's programs: Learning in Retirement, Adult Leisure, and CampDISCOVERY.
